The Board of Directors announces their FREE annual event to raise awareness about youth homelessness and to celebrate the volunteers, staff, and community members who are working to change the lives of Maine’s most vulnerable youth for the better.

New Beginnings 2017 Annual Celebration Dinner

5:30 pm – Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Martindale County Club, Auburn

Please join us for a reception with cash bar starting at 5:30 pm; the dinner and program will begin at 6:00 pm.

This year’s program will include recognition of a special volunteer with our annual service award for dedication to New Beginnings’ mission, and a keynote address by Sam Greenberg, cofounder of Y2Y Harvard Square young adult shelter in Cambridge, MA, who was recently named to Forbes’ 2017 “30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneurs” list.

Sam, 25, will share inspiring stories from the first year of Y2Y, including how his visit to New Beginnings during Y2Y’s planning stages helped to inform the development of what is now the first student-run homeless shelter for young adults in the United States.

Interested in attending? Please call 207-795-4077

Please note that there is no cost to attend as this event is not a fundraiser. However, the Board gratefully accepts sponsorships and donations from those who are interested in contributing to cover the cost of the event.

Special Thanks to our 2017 EVENT SPONSOR Androscoggin Bank for making this event possible.
