In-Kind donations are welcomed year-round. Many of our programs provide meals, hygiene items, clothing, linens, and basic household supplies for the young people we serve. Please see our current wish list. Please note that, in general, we do not accept used clothing or linens due to space and cleaning limitations.
Gift cards in any denomination are always welcome. Oftentimes they are used to give a young person a warm place to sit, out of the elements, until the winter warming shelters open.

Honor a Loved One
Looking for a meaningful way to honor a loved one’s memory? Click here to honor someone while helping provide the basic needs for Maine’s homeless youth.
Recurring Gift Pledge:
Set up recurring monthly or quarterly payments through your bank, online bill pay service, or by entering your credit card or ACH bank draft information on the donation page to be a sustaining supporter for youth!
Retirement Plan:
If you are 70 ½ or older, you can make a tax-free distribution from your traditional or Roth IRA to New Beginnings, Inc. If you’re younger, you can still support Maine’s homeless youth by making a withdrawal and donating the proceeds after taxes OR by designating New Beginnings, Inc. as a beneficiary of your retirement plan. Contact your financial planner or institution for details. Please notify donations@newbeginmaine.org if you plan to give via your IRA.
Stocks and Bonds:
Transferring stocks, bonds, or mutual funds to New Beginnings may have tax benefits in addition to a charitable deduction. Consult with your broker or financial advisor, then contact ssaltzman@newbeginmaine.org for details.
Planned Giving:
Naming New Beginnings, Inc. as a beneficiary of your estate or life insurance policy creates a lasting impact! To give via your will, ask your attorney or financial planner to add “I bequeath $__ or __% of my estate to New Beginnings, Inc. at 134 College Street in Lewiston, Maine.” and please notify us at donations@newbeginmaine.org of the designation.
