Join us and celebrate 40 years of New Beginnings! Serving runaway and homeless youth and their families since 1980. Featuring our Annual Service Award, multiple break-out topics, a look back at the last 40 years, and a panel of NB Alumni who want to share their stories of hope.

Register on Zoom

Breakout sessions include:

Education & Employment Program: Gain a clearer understanding of how the program works, what our education and employment specialists offer youth, and how the program helps youth to develop skills they need to reengage in school or employment.

Mental Health Program: Learn about how NB Mental Health program helps more youth by meeting them “where they’re at.” Because the traditional model of keeping a weekly therapy appointment has not worked well for the youth we serve. NB provides outpatient counseling, groups, and mental health case management services, with a focus on vulnerable adolescents and young adults.

Youth Action Board (YAB):  YAB members are between the ages of 14 and 24 and not only share the common thread of lived experience with homelessness, poverty, or interaction with mental health, foster/adoptive, juvenile justice, or mental health systems, but they also share a commitment to and passion for positively changing the experiences of other young people who may face similar life circumstances. Sign up to learn more about what they have been working on and what the future of YAB looks like.

State and National Advocacy: Are you interested in helping homeless youth on a larger scale? Join Executive Director, Chris Bicknell, to learn more about what NB is working on behind the scenes to create better policies and advocate for homeless youth on a state and national level.
