We’ve had many transitions in our staff since the Winter (March 2019) Newsletter! We’ve said good-bye to some very dedicated employees, and have welcomed many new faces in each of our programs:
Administration: Our Finance Director of 19 years, Janet O’Connor, recently retired. We hope to hear wonderful stories about her retirement chapter.
Lisa Dumont joined us in July as our Director of Finance and Administration. Lisa is local to the area and comes to us with extensive nonprofit experience and community involvement.
Also, new to our administration team are Penny Redmond as our Bookkeeper and Jonathan Robinson replacing Zofia Levine as our IT Support Specialist. They both come with vast knowledge and have already become integral parts of our team. We have some new part-time administrative help with Jen Earle keeping reception running smoothly and former Bates intern Jesus Carrera assisting with development.
Development is also welcoming the newest member of the admin team, Nicole Pollock, who will replace Amber Kruk as our Development and Marketing Coordinator.
Education Support has also promoted Allie Smith to Education Support Program Coordinator.
Community Services: Kris Pitts joined us this year working part-time with our new Youth Action Board, and was recently been promoted to replace Olivia Loneman as our full-time Prevention and Training Coordinator.
Shelter: The Shelter welcomed Alyssa Morin as their new Assistant Program Coordinator and Megan Gilmartin as a Youth Worker.
TLP: After 20 years working for New Beginnings in many roles, our dedicated Housing Manager Dan Barker moved on this fall. Dan will be missed! We’ve welcomed Janice Barrett as our new TLP Housing Manager.
The TLP also promoted Darren Deth to Assistant Program Manager and Sean Racicot-Psaledakis to Youth Worker, and welcomed two new TLP Case Managers, Carlton Charles and Brian Mayhew as well as a new Youth Worker Corinne Rabon.
Outreach: Our former Outreach Director Chris “Topher” Balderas moved onto another position over the summer, and we’re happy to announce that Maura Moody was recently named the new Outreach Director. We also added new Outreach Workers Bri Martin and Sarah Pratt, Youthworker Lee Howitt and relief staff Meg Gilmartin.
Outright Lewiston-Auburn: Chai Johnson has replaced Tess Macoy as the Outright L/A Coordinator and Christine Baglieri was promoted to Youth Project Organizer.
